So, we’re doing a thing…
Clackamas Literary Review (CLR) is honored to be selected by the Clackamas Community College Foundation to take part in the 2026 Cougar Community Campaign, CCC’s annual fundraiser for department projects and student resources.
As most of our readers know, CLR is an internationally-read literary arts magazine that is supported by faculty but published entirely by students enrolled in Publishing Literature courses offered by the English department at CCC. This opportunity for students to learn, curate, and publish new literature for our readers is truly unique, truly inspiring, and so very vital to our communities and culture. If you are able to support the students who make the literary journal we all love so they can continue to publish innovative texts from authors around the globe, please check out our campaign and share the opportunity with friends. This year, we published the 30th volume of our beloved Clackamas Literary Review. With your help, we’re looking forward to 30 more. Thank you for your support!
Publishing Literature: First Run!
The end of this fall 2025 term marks the first wrap of one of our brand new publishing courses: WR 246, Publishing Literature: Reading and Revising for Publication. Eight brave student editors learned the ropes of publishing by reading nearly 1300 submissions from more than 500 authors—and had a blast doing it! From researching literary journals to refining acquisition standards, from working with authors on developmental revision to soliciting cover art, these assistant editors have curated an incredible selection of poetry, prose, and possibility texts for our upcoming 30th volume. Thanks to the poets and writers who helped make this work possible!
